The premature retirement of synthetic ropes and steel wire ropes before the end of their service lifespan is a waste of investment. More importantly, an unexpected rope failure is a serious safety issue with all sorts of unmitigated consequences.
In view of MEG4, TEHO Ropes offers various training courses to help operators safeguard their crews and mooring equipment. TEHO instructors can train ship crews to inspect, maintain, repair or retire mooring lines as warranted.
As part of the Mooring Safety Management Plan, TEHO Ropes can help create a Line Management Plan and recommend an optimisation programme under which the mooring equipment is periodically inspected and tested.
