Testing

TEHO Ropes is equipped with four testbenches with rated capacities up to 300 metric tonnes.

Our testbenches are annually calibrated to provide the highest load cell accuracy and are operated by skilled engineers.

TEHO Ropes can conduct proof load, hold and destructive testing on synthetic ropes, steel wire ropes and a variety of load bearing equipment.

If desired, tests can be witnessed by 3rd party classification bodies such as Lloyd’s Register, DNV.GL, NKK, ABS, Bureau Veritas.

Our test benches are regularly booked for residual strength testing on mooring ropes. A residual strength test provides insight into the performance of a rope during its service life and  causes for its retirement. 

Under MEG 4, it is of critical importance to monitor the condition of the rope during its service life.
